Pastor’s Note for April

Greetings and grace to you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Writing this newsletter on Tuesday, March 28, a week after meniscus repair surgery and thinking how the Lord has blessed.  It might be several more weeks before the knee is 100%, but the blessings of the Lord never fall below 100%!  Blessed with salvation by God’s grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, Pam as a partner in the grace of life, wonderful daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and the ERBC family!  It is a blessing to serve you as pastor.  I thank and praise the Lord for you!  God is good, all the time!

As we approach Easter, my prayer is that the power of the resurrection of Christ will be realized afresh in each of our lives.  We might enjoy other things associated with the secular holiday, but may we meditate and on engage the Sacred One that laid His life down and picked it up again that we could be saved.  Let us never forget nor be silent concerning Christ and what He did at Calvary, both at the cross and the empty tomb!  Jesus is risen!  He is risen indeed!  Join us Easter Sunday for Sunrise Service @ 6:30am, Sunday School @ 9:30 and Worship @ 10:30am.

God’s inspired Words through Paul has always provoked my heart as to how to pray for you and others.  Join me during the month of April in allowing the following Scripture to shape our prayers for one another.

“Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,  And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,  Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,  Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:  And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,  Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”  (Ephesians 1:15-23)

By His grace,

Toney
